I am very excited to be leading such a dynamic organization and working with a very sophisticated and progressive group of people. We are proud of the customers we have established as long-term partners, and are continuously striving to support their needs with our engine control systems and products.
Precision Engine Controls Corporation (PECC) has a long history of attracting new customers by being in the forefront of technological advancements while maintaining long term business relationships with existing customers with our superior customer service. We do this by continuing to nurture our skilled, well-established workforce and setting high standards of excellence for our employees, updating our design and manufacturing equipment and processes, and focusing on our overall company strategic goals. As a management group, we have worked hard to focus on that which we excel, supporting our customer’s needs, and initiating new development projects that are within our strategic scope.
PECC was recently acquired by Hamilton Sundstrand and we are now part of the Engine and Control Systems business unit with headquarters in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. Being part of Hamilton Sundstrand and it’s parent company, United Technologies, allows PECC access to resources it did not have in the past. We are very excited about the new opportunities that exist as part of Hamilton Sundstrand and we have adopted their Operating System which is called “Achieving Competitive Excellence” or ACE for short – achieving Qualifying level during the first year after acquisition.
PECC has the latest production equipment, office systems, and any other training or tools to ensure our people have the latest resources available to them. Many of the employees that are with PECC today have a long tenure, working with the company since the transition from being part of AlliedSignal to starting up PECC under private ownership, and now being part of a large publically owned company again. These long tenured employees and all the new talent we have hired in the last several years have helped build the culture of PECC and have been a big part of what helps drive our organization to the high level of productivity we exhibit. As we bring on new employees, we do our best to ensure that they will fit with our culture and have the drive to continue to grow the company, which allows us to be a benchmarking facility within our company as well as in the industry.
In September of 2007, we celebrated our 15th anniversary as PECC and now have more opportunities than ever. 2008 should prove to be a very exciting year for PECC with focus given to implementation of new infrastructure systems to support our recent growth and our new corporate requirements. We currently have our entire company involved in ACE and we will be concentrating on streamlining processes and monitoring performance trends to achieve our top level company objectives as we work thru 2008. Continuous results from our improvement teams coupled with on-going engineering development of advanced control products are a few examples of strengths which will lead to our strategic plans for continued growth over the next several years. The recent release of several new product configurations for our controls, fuel valves and actuators serve to broaden our capability to the industrial gas turbine engine industry.
