UTC Employee Scholar Program
- 100% of all tuition costs paid directly to the educational institution
- 100% of all course-required books, registration and regular academic fees paid
- Paid time off - Paid time off for 50% of classroom hours up to 3 hours per week
- Graduation Presents - Stock Award $10,000 in UTC Stock for Bachelors Degree, $5000 in UTC Stock for Associates Degree
HS Employees Savings Plan
- New Employees can join as soon as administratively feasible after their date of hire and contribute up to 40% of pre-tax, after-tax or a combination of both if non-highly compensated up to the IRS pre-tax limits
- The company match is 60% of the first 6% you contribute starting on the date you complete 12 months of continuous service
- At HS, we think it's important to try and help you plan for your future-in the long term. To help you manage your fund more wisely, Employee Savings Plan participants are provided free on-line financial advice.
Health Care UTC Choice
HS places great emphasis on being aware of its employees' needs. It is our goal to provide you with flexible, comprehensive coverage that works for you. Under a cafeteria plan known as UTC Choice we offer Build Your Own medical and prescription plans, a Health Savings Account with High Deductible Health Plan, or the choice of a local HMO provider. These plans provide you with a combination of choices to create the plan that works best for you and your family. UTC Choice also offers a dental plan, life insurance for you and your family, and disability coverage for you.
Spending Accounts
- Reduce your taxable income
- Allows you to reimburse yourself for certain non-covered expenses, i.e. co-pays, deductibles, eyeglasses and childcare
- Contribute up to $5,000 for healthcare; $5,000 for daycare
- Health Care and Dependent Care Spending Accounts are options available to you that allow you to pay for eligible expenses with pre-tax dollars and lower your taxable income for the year. You may choose to contribute up to $5,000 – before taxes - to the Healthcare Spending Account and up to $5,000 – before taxes- to the Dependent Care Spending Account each year.
LifeWorks Program
LifeWorks is a comprehensive resource and referral program designed to give UTC employees practical solutions, information, and support with everyday issues. Through this free, confidential program, employees and their immediate families have 24/7 telephone and online access to professional consultants for help with a wide range of issues, including personal finance, parenting, elder care, education, health, work and career questions, emotional well-being, and more.
Some benefit programs require contributions from the employee, but most are fully paid or sponsored by PECC and Hamilton Sundstrand. Employees are responsible for applicable taxes for benefits received through the Employee Scholar Program.
