FADEC incorporates state-of-the-art turbine control technology in a shock, moisture and vibration resistant package specifically developed for marine applications.
Originally developed for use in U.S.Navy hovercraft, FADEC is fully enclosed in a black anodized Aluminum housing and features Stainless Steel connectors, conductive gasketing, EMC interface filtering and conformally-coated electronic circuit assemblies.
The PECC FADEC functions in temperature extremes of -20°C to 60°C and utilizes redundant internal fans for effective thermal management. Environmental testing for temperature, humidity, waterproofness, icing, fluid corrosion susceptibility and shock was performed per Mil-Std-810.
FADEC has been designed and field-proven to exceed Mil-Std-167, Type 1 shipboard vibration standards. EMC performance is referenced to Mil-Std-461 requirements. Maintenance is simplified by diagnostics capable of isolating faults to system and circuit assembly levels.
In addition to critical military applications, the FADEC turbine control system is ideal for use in all marine environments and operations requiring rugged durability, reliability and precise turbine control.
